Tiger Talk! June 2, 2023

The last day of school is rapidly approaching. Today was the students’ last Friday of the school year! The next two weeks will be filled with activities and fun for all of us.  I know our students are (im)patiently waiting for the end of the school year and many of them are also talking about their excitement of coming back for the festival.  I hope I am able to see you during Festival Week! It is a hectic but fun time for all of us.

I would like to thank all of you for being part of our school family.  My faculty and I are grateful for the time we are able to spend with your children, sharing in the joy of educating them and guiding them on their paths as they grow older. It feels like it all happens quickly and then the preschooler who I just met seems to be graduating.  Thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift!

God Bless the Class of 2023!

We had a beautiful Graduation ceremony Wednesday night. I want to congratulate the Class of 2023! You are loved! It was a pleasure being part of “One Body in Christ” with you. God bless you! Continue our Salesian spirit and “be who you are and be that well” with gentle strength. In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, continue to live a life of service, compassion, and empathy for those less fortunate than you.

Our littlest friends graduated today! Today we celebrated the graduations of our Preschoolers and Kindergarteners. What a joy! They practiced so hard. It has been a privilege to watch them grow and learn this year. They developed social skills and learned how to be a classmate to friends. This was the first experience in a school setting for some of them. It is truly impressive what they learn in 9 months. I can’t wait to see what their bright little futures hold.

Congratulations to our May Students of the Month! The value of the month was “helpful.” These students are willing to lend a helping hand or go out of their way to help someone. Congratulations to Stokely Harris (PK3), Vito Nepa (PK4), Graham Smith (K),  Finley Banker (1st), Tessa DeIeso (2nd), Greta Vorhauer (3rd), Aryanna Rivera (4th), Luke Hayes (5th), Cameron Steele and Z’Aylah Holness (6th), Xavian Pabon (7th), and Angelina Wise (8th).  Way to go!

Italian FestivalI want to thank everyone ahead of time for working at the Italian Festival.  Without our volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to have a festival. It is always a fun time! Thank you for helping support our school. I look forward to seeing you there! Please stop by and visit me at the bar on the back of the Rectory patio. All of our teachers will be working on the property during the festival, so make time to stroll around the entire campus. We are happy to welcome back our friends from the Wilmington Police Department to ensure safety at our event. Let’s all pray for 8 days and nights of sunshine and mild temperatures!
