Parents

At St. Anthony of Padua, we believe that a child’s education is a partnership between school, family, and student. Our parents are an important part of our school community, and we are grateful for the many ways you support your children and our school throughout the year.

From volunteering and attending Home & School meetings to staying connected with your child’s teachers and celebrating our school traditions, your involvement makes a difference. Together, we can create a school environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and ready to grow.

Our Partnership with Parents

As partners in the educational process at St. Anthony of Padua Grade School, we ask parents and guardians to:

  • Participate actively in school activities, including Home & School meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events.
  • Help your child take responsibility for school books, materials, and property.
  • Notify the school with a written note when your child is absent or tardy.
  • Notify the school office as soon as possible of any changes to your address, email address, or important phone numbers.
  • Meet all financial obligations to the school.
  • Keep the school informed of any circumstances that may affect your child’s well-being, academic needs, safety, or health.
  • Promptly complete and return requested forms and information.
  • Read school communications, notes, and newsletters and take an active interest in your child’s overall education.
  • Support the religious and educational mission and goals of St. Anthony of Padua.
  • Support and cooperate with the school’s discipline policies and expectations.
  • Treat teachers and staff with respect and courtesy when discussing questions or concerns about your child.

Supporting Your Child at Home

Parents also play an important role in helping children arrive at school ready to learn. We ask families to establish routines and expectations that help students:

  • Get adequate rest and maintain an appropriate bedtime on school nights.
  • Arrive at school on time and be picked up promptly at the end of the school day.
  • Come to school dressed according to the school dress code.
  • Come prepared for the school day with the materials and mindset they need to learn.

We’re Glad You’re Part of Our Community

There are many ways to be involved at St. Anthony, and every family contributes in their own way. Whether you are volunteering at an event, attending a school meeting, cheering from the sidelines, or simply staying connected to your child’s day-to-day experience, your partnership matters.

Thank you for being an important part of the St. Anthony family!
